Obel x revalu Material Spotlight – Seashell Waste
Composed primarily of calcium carbonate, seashells are a valuable raw material. This collection gathers producers and projects rethinking marine waste as a local, bioavailable resource.
As part of constant product improvements, we’ve redesigned parts of the search experience to improve how you search for materials on revalu. You asked, we listened: We've improved filtering, consolidated options and made card view settings directly accessible whilst making it easier to adjust what data you see in the material cards — including your own custom attributes.
Here’s a quick guide to the new interface and how to use it:
Filtering
Filters remain on the left side of the interface and can be used at any time while browsing search results.
To apply a filter, open any category (e.g. Function, Material Type, or Geographical Scope) and select one or more options.
Active filters appear as visible chips that can be disabled with ease
Active filter options are now visible outside of filter drop-downs.
Customising your page view
You can now change the layout of the search results without opening a dropdown.
Use the grid/list view toggle in the top-right corner to adjust how materials are displayed.
Cycle between Small, Medium, or Large card sizes to modify your layout
These controls are always visible and update in real time.
Managing the data you see
The 'Visibility + Data' menu lets you control which attributes are shown for each material.

Select the attributes you wish to display, including environmental indicators, additional performance data and choose to show or hide expired data
These settings apply immediately and remain active across future sessions.
